The Training Center of Hubei Agricultural Officials ( Hubei Vocational College of Bio-Science and Technology), is located in Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei province and "a thoroughfare to nine provinces" known in history. Enclosed with agricultural hi-tech units and agricultural extension service institutes, the center featuring by its predominant location serves as an ideal place for education, scientific research and training. It is the unique institute which is engaged in the continuing education for the domestic agricultural officials, higher education as well as training for foreign agricultural officials and international agricultural communication.

The center covers an area of 351 mu, and it has a floorage of 130,000 square meters. Up to now, 18 million yuan has been invested in the teaching equipment. Now the center has computer rooms, audiovisual rooms, multi-media classrooms electronic reading rooms, bio-technical center and over 20 laboratories of different disciplines, such as horticulture, aquiculture and veterinary medicine. Moreover, there are 48 pilot bases and plants are available for the students.  It has more than 22 disciplines of the adult education and vocational education, such as bio-technology, animal science, veterinary medicine, plant protection,  horticulture, etc.

Since 1900s, as a center undertaking the project of cooperation in human capacity building by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, we have successfully conducted 19 training courses for foreign-aid program and 18 training courses under the cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture. About 700 agricultural officials of 80 countries from Asia, Africa, Europe, America and Oceania have attended our training classes. Besides, the center has implemented various technical communication and cooperation concerning agriculture and animal husbandry with other countries. The bilateral cooperative relationship with these countries is expanding steadily.

With the predominant facilities, abundant training experience, quality organization as well as the favorable training effect, the center enjoys a high reputation in the international training field.
